Er bestaan een hoop goede, creatieve artiestennamen. Het was voor de Pop-Professor daarom ook moeilijk om er vier uit te kiezen. Maar het is gelukt! Geniet van het lijstje met 4 creatieve artiestennamen!

1. Palio Superspeed Donkey

Palio Superspeed Donkey is een Utrechts bandje dat fijne garagerock maakt. Misschien ken je ze al van bescheiden radiohitje Obi One. In 2012 brachten ze debuutEP Wateramp uit, drie jaar later volgde in 2015 debuutalbum A Funny Sunrise. En dat was het laatste wat we van ze hoorden. Ze hebben sindsdien geen nieuwe muziek meer uitgebracht, en ook op social media laten ze vrij weinig van zich horen. Komt misschien omdat een paar leden uit Palio Superspeed Donkey overgestapt zijn naar het nieuwe bandje Canshaker Pi. Maar dat verandert niks aan de bandnaam, want die blijft nog steeds even creatief en cool.

2. King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard

Een naam om in de gaten te houden dit jaar: King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard. Afgelopen zaterdag tipte de Pop-Professor hun nieuwste album al in de Schijf van Vijf, en eerder zaten ze ook al in Must Listen. Ze komen uit Melbourne in en werden al één van de beloftes van 2016 genoemd en volgens de Pop-Professor gaan ze dat zeker waar maken. De band rondom Ambrose Kenny Smith (ze zijn met zijn zevenen!) maakt fijne psychedelische rock, en op achtste album (ze bestaan pas sinds 2010, hè!) Nonagon Infinity laat de band dit weer fijn uit de verf komen, met een ware evolutie. Want over de wereld krijgen ze steeds meer fans.

3. Dananananaykroyd

Vreemde naam weer voor je band. De Schotse rockers van Dananananaykroyd maakten van 2006 tot 2011 fijne alternatieve rockmuziek, of, zoals ze het zelf noemden, 'fight pop'. Naast de drie redelijk goede albums die ze in die vijf jaar tijd hebben afgeleverd, valt natuurlijk ook de naam van de band op.

Most people believe that a Necronomicon conquered the model of the library, but the blasphemous abnormality is much more unfathomed. Oh, the lazily infected annihilation of it ALL! Deze gasten maken het wel héél bont met hun artiestennaam. Veel is er overigens niet over ze te vinden, maar voornamelijk maken ze metal. Ja. Nou ja, veel hoeft de Pop-Professor ook niet te vertellen, want de bandnaam is al lang genoeg...
